But in my opinion Sony has the more professional software, exported from their camera department to their phone. the Pro-I has a 1" sensor as a worlds first in a phone, but cropped, so even there its only a bit improved and they lost a chance to show what they are capable of and let xiaomis 12 ultras (i think world firsts) fully used 1" sensor take the spotlight. that equals 4 pixels combined- its still 12 MP but the pixels would be a quarter the size if the sensor is the same. Sony used to do that too on older flagships up until the xz phones but then decided against. Other brands use pixel binning which pretty much only provides more information to the algorithm for digital (post) processing. We dont need more megapixels, we need larger pixels on a larger sensor. 12 MP has the potential to provide us way more details than what we're used to get.
